Hmm. All four combinations:

- with fpmath without tree-vector
- without  fpmath with tree-vector
- without both
- with both

work (that is delread/delwrite does work), when i do as described above.

Note that i didn't 'make patch_pd' as it was not described and as i  
think they'd be in the brached code.
