yes, it's VERY cpu-consuming but i need it in an upcoming project in
which  live camera sequences automagically reappear in a kind of
making-of at the end of the performance.  I foudn it  somewhat tricky to
have a stream of pictures reencoded afterwards to be played via pix_film
later on, while Gem keeps playing. So I chose to record the gemwin
straight as a MOVie.
