in order to make this discussion more confusing, i say:
afaik, it depends which object receives the bang from the [metro]. when
it is [vline~] or [vsnapshot~], then it is independent from sample
blocks, but when the receiver is the phase inlet of an oscillator or
[tabwrite~], then the bang happens on the boundaries.
personally, i find that a bit confusing and i would like all these
objects to behave the same, namely independent from sample blocks.
