In PureData, they will be displayed properly, but they won't be saveable. 
Any attempt to save it will destroy part of the properties of the object.

In DesireData, they are saveable, and they can be set through the 
properties dialogs, though a newline requires a paste because the field is 
single-line. Spaces and any special characters like {\}#;, are directly 
supported.
