no, since there is actually no need to do that. you still can use
[vline~] as [line~]. if the third argument is not used, 0 is assumed,
which makes [vline~] behave as [line~] (it's still more accurate,
though).
in other words: just forget about the third argument, if it confuses
you, and it won't do you any harm and it'll work as expected.
