[PD] [gem]: GEM_SINGLE_CONTEXT

does anybody knows of and/or uses the GEM_SINGLE_CONTEXT feature of Gem 
as described in 
http://gem.iem.at/documentation/faq/can-gem-run-on-a-3dfx-voodoo-card

in the course of cleaning up the code i would like to either remove this 
hack (or make it more general).

i don't think that anybody still owns a 3dfx voodoo card, not to think 
about still uses it for Gem.
