some more informations about troubles i get
with gem-cvs and pd 0.41 on an Nvidia 7000 :

in fact, it seems that all rendering in single-buffer mode
doesn't work ( see attached patch for testing )
and, as the pixels capture only works in single-buffer mode,
all objects depending on it fail,
including gem2pdp, pix_write and pix_snap.

maybe it's only on this hardy installation with :
