[PD] [GEM] error in creating gemwin in fc8

Hello all,

After installing recordmydesktop and Mplayer, and adding support for mpeg3,
Quicktime and ffmpeg, then recompiling gem, i get the following error
everytime I try to create a Gemwin:

on the terminal:

Xlib:  extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib:  extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".

on the pd console

error: [gemwin]: GEM: gemwin: no window made
error: GEM: Create window first!
error: GEM: X server has no OpenGL GLX extension
error: GEM: Error creating const context
error: GEM: A serious error occured creating const Context
error: GEM: Continue at your own risk!
error: GEM: X server has no OpenGL GLX extension
error: GEM: Unable to create window
error: [gemwin]: GEM: gemwin: no window made
error: GEM: Create window first!

I am on a x86_64 desktop machine running fc8

I am using the following gem:

GEM: ver: 0.91-cvs

Any help will be appreciated.
