Seems to be fixed in pd-0.41/42. At least I cannot make Pd crash anymore
by closing a patch which has an GOP abstraction inside opened.

So I'd recommend to upgrade to a more recent version of Pd.

(I cannot see [grid] in the GOPs, but probably my version of grid is too
old. I don't use it much)
