[PD] how to change the color of backgound...

Hi my dears friends... i like change the color of gem window...  the black
color, i can put video, pic, etc, but i can change the background color...
and... how i can put the images or video in differents depths or layers???
... i am talking about dont put the media on same background or put in
layers....
