seems like this is another weird bug...Pd/Gem (with Pd-0.42.4 on XP) 
crashes as soon as i call:
fprintf(stderr, "bla");
otoh, i am running Pd with "-stderr" and post() works fine.
printf("bla") works fine too...
seems like someone killed stderr...

i'll put up a Gem-build as soon as i have eliminated all direct 
stderr-calls...
