[PD] gem on ubuntu karmic?

i posted this already: an elegant way to bypass the LD_PRELOAD is to 
install libv4l & libv4l-dev & configure gem-svn with:
  ./configure --with-libv4l2 --with-pd=/pathtopdsources/
then set the driver of pix_video with a driver v4l2 message
this works for me on ubuntu karmic
