[PD] gemframebuffer nonsense - was: Re: GEM: writing an image different from the one displayed

Ok thank you,
I had missed the part where the view of the gemframebuffer is 
independent (and its default different) from that of the camera. Now 
everything's fine except one thing.

Now the problem that remains is that pix_writer crashes when trying to 
save jpegs... I guess I will have to use pix_write.
