The build farm machine was built like this, and autoconf works there  
under MinGW.  I recommend following this setup:

Try this:

cd externals
svn up [A-Za-fh-z]* g[a-qs-z]*

I thought that the 'gridflow' folder was moved to the an  
svn:external.  So maybe this is enough:

svn up --ignore-externals
