[PD] gem crash when create gemwin

hi

I am using the configuration bellow, and every time i create gemwin
object, pd immediately crashes with a segmentation fault error that
appears only on the terminal.

I tried to reinstall PD and got the same problem, the Pd was installed by
synaptic.

Pd version 0.41-4
Gem 0.90

Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala
2.6.31-20-generic i686 GNU/Linux
