[PD] keyboard pedal (yamaha fc4)

Has anyone ever tried (or has one with which they could try) to connect one
of these:

fc4 pedals into the line/mic in of a sound card?

It has this 1/4 inch jack and perhaps one could get a sample accurate
expression pedal for cheap?

please let me know if I am about to fry any part of my soundcard, because
i'm going to try one out soon...
