Right. Such as the first version of my fix. I could have submitted that to 
the patch tracker as well. I don't think that you should rely on 
submission to the patch tracker as a sign of quality at all, even if 
there's somewhat a correlation. If you want quality, you ought to find it 
by other means.

Exactly. And then if I think about what would be different if the SVN was 
replaced by a FTP, I'm led to believe that it wouldn't make much of a 
difference : pure-data is not really "using" SVN.
