I think a nice GUI, still simple but nice, could even help to read
programs. Since it´s a "graphical programming language", the way it
looks has to do with programming and readability too.
Antialiasing, Bézier shapes, Bézier connecting lines... I don´t know
about tc/tk, but there is also other free cross-platform tool kits
like qt4.
