Looks interesting, but I didn't get it running.  I recommend using  
[declare] to set the paths rather than a shell script, that way it'll  
work on all platforms, and it will work when someone just opens the  
patch via Pd rather than running a shell script.

You could have something like [declare -path ../x_ABS]
