[PD] ubuntu/ubuntustudio 10.10 pd pd-extended?

AFAIK, there is no repository delivering Pd-extended.

Yes.

You can, if you want, but it's not mandatory. You most certainly have Pd
vanilla installed now and both, Pd-extended and Pd, can happily live
side-by-side nowadays.
