I'm in the #dataflow room a lot too, its a very useful resource.  You
can also use programs like Pidgin (http://pidgin.im/), Adium
(http://www.adium.im/) and Colloquy (http://colloquy.info/) to connect
to IRC chat rooms.

On Mac OS X, colloquy is probably the easiest way.  Literally just
download it, drag it to your /Applications, then run it.  Then click
this link:

irc://irc.freenode.net/dataflow
