nevertheless, i usually can be neglected, so i would suggest the same to
save some CPU power down the patch.
[line] can be become quite expensive when used massively, and a
switched-off [line~] that is fed with new values can also make problems
(at least it did a while ago; dunno whether this has been fixed)
