It returns a result for each instance of the abstraction-- thus the user has the ability to query the 
set of all abstraction instances, as well as individual results for a particular canvas (the latter either 
using your [sendcanvas] or my [send2canvas] wrapper around "get parent" in the demo).

There are some things I need to revise in that patch, but it should give a good starting point.
