If you have an unused channel in a [dac~] that has many outputs, play an 
[osc~] in it, and connect the output back to an input so that you can pick 
it up by [adc~], so that pd can listen to its own dropouts, using [env~] 
or [bonk~] or whatever. I suppose that this has to be done using a cable 
that goes outside of a physical soundcard and back inside.
