[PD] tabread4~ / index & reload / style

Hi dear list

When you have in an abstraction a classical tabread4~ driven by a phasor~ or a vline~ 
AND
when you happen to reload the array which is hooked in the tabread4~ via a set message

what is the smart way to deal with the index (phase~ or vline~) whilst loading the new sample ?
a short switch~ or a short spigot~  (or *~)... or nothing just go ?

more precisely, at the moment when the array loads, if nothing is done, the index keeps sending zeroes or a constant value or anything at sample rate : 
volume faded out, seems okay,  but is doing nothing with the index smart ? robust ?
