[PD] soundhack

Hello all,
3 related questions:
1. How does one install soundhack externals for PD - simply by pointing a path to the folder?
2. Also, what's the deal exactly with the pd_darwin files? I assume they cannot be edited / viewed inside PD (they are not written in PD, right?)

3. last, is it a good idea to throw it into the pd-extended package content?
