[PD] Constraining [text3d] within a [rectangle]

Hi all,
What I have in mind is to put some text in a [rectangle] and start adding
characters to it giving it an offset with each character addition. So my
question is, how can I make letters invisible when out of [rectangle] (it
would be best if they become invisible gradually, as they gradually move
outside [rectangle])?
More or less like you type a very long URL in the URL field on your browser
and the first character of the url address is "moving to the left" getting
out of sight when the bar is full and you keep on typing.
