[PD] Tubular waveguides

Hi community!

Building a tubular waveguide to model a transverse flute. Trying to find any other successful pd waveguides, i've come across Kim Taylor's string waveguide but thats about it. Anyone have any patches to share or know of anyone doing waveguide work in pd?

Here's my waveguide in its current form. The current version of the patch is Flute10.pd

It needs a lot of improving, namely the loss filters and scatter junction functionality. But if you guys can see anythign else that needs changing, isn't right or could be improved, let me know! Also i've seen a few papers use a sigmoid transfer function, which i tried to implement with the sigmoid.pd abstraction, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Try it out for yourselves.

As a form of context, my research is exploring dimensional limitations of a transverse flute. Ie modeling the flute in pd. Testing accuracy using impulse testing against a concert, alto, bass, and contrabass flute, improving accuracy along the way. Then once accuracy is maintained through each scale, i intend to extend the dimensions beyond western instrumental limits in an effort to try and establish at what point (size) does the instrument stop working and why, taking quantitative snap shots and impulse responses along the way.
Let me know what you think.

Aaron
