sure, multiple ways.

- - plying directly from file, using [readsf~]
- - loading soundfiles into extra-large arrays using [readsf~]
- - using the "-resize" flag to [soundfiler]

there's really not much point in making overly long arrays shorter.
if you want to make sure you could simply set all the samples to "0"
before loading (using [const 0()
