We cordially invite you to the first Munich Music Hack Day this July 
27th to 28th!
We seek to bring together computer scientists, musicians, Soft- & 
Hardware hackers and people
with a genuine interest in music technology for two days of hacking, 
socializing and collaborating
on projects and generally enjoying creative endeavors.

The event is free and includes snacks, lunch and dinner for the first 80 
people registered. We also give away
a limited amount of Amazon Web Services gift certificates. Spectators 
are also very welcome!


== HACKING ==

For hackers & creators, we'd like to foster your collaborative efforts 
in topics such as (but not limited to):

* man-machine interaction: playing/creating music together
* data mining and visualizing large historical musical data sets
* controlling and interacting with a physical piano from your computer 
(we will have a Steinway Grand to play with)
* crawling and analysis of music on the Internet
* merging music scores and recordings
* computational musicology
* audio synthesis and fun with noise-making

Great projects will be awarded prizes from our sponsors!

* concert at the Steinway-Haus München
* keynotes by Prof. Michael Cuthbert (MIT) and Vladimir Viro (LMU)
* programmable (MIDI-fied) Steinway Grand Piano
* interdisciplinary fun projects for musicians and hackers / computer

* project demos at the end of the Hack Day

wir laden Sie herzlich zum ersten Münchener Music Hack Day vom 27. bis

An diesen beiden Tagen möchten wir Informatiker, Musiker, Soft- &
Hardware Hacker und Menschen mit
Begeisterung für Musiktechnologie zusammenbringen und einen Rahmen für
gemeinsames Hacken, Knüpfen von Kontakten
und generellen Spaß an kreativen Projekten schaffen.

Die Veranstaltung ist kostenlos und die Verpflegung wie Snacks,
Mittag- und Abendessen ist inklusive
für die ersten 80 registrierten Teilnehmer. An aktive Teilnehmer
vergeben wir außerdem eine begrenzte
Anzahl an Amazon-Web-Services-Gutscheinen. Generell interessierte
Zuschauer sind natürlich
auch herzlich willkommen!

== HACKING ==

Wir möchten die Arbeit an gemeinsamen Projekten in folgenden
Themengebieten anstoßen:

* Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion: gemeinsames Musizieren
* Steuern eines echten Flügels durch den Computer (wir haben einen
Steinway-Flügel zur Verfügung)
* Data Mining und Visualisierung großer historischer Musikdatensätze
* Crawling und Analyse von Musik im Netz
* Digitale Verschmelzung von Notensätzen und Musikaufnahmen
* Digitale Musikwissenschaft
* Audio-Synthese und Spaß "beim Krachmachen"

Außergewöhnliche Projekte werden mit Preisen unserer Sponsoren 
ausgezeichnet!
