[PD] Gem compiled without FONT-support

I've installed the ftgl-dev package and recompiled Gem, but now I get this
error: [text2d]: cannot find font-file
'/home/alexandros/Dropbox/pd_patches/H1N1/video/vera.ttf'

 I just downloaded vera.ttf, but where should it be so that Pd can see it?
For now it's in the Downloads directory.
