[PD] separate list of symbols

hi all,

i'd like to separate a list (with floats or symbols) with a given separator into two lists.
 
for example, my input list ist
 
[hi i am a robot(
 
and i want to give "am" as a separator,
 
that i receive two lists as output:
 
[hi i(   
and  
[am a robot(
 
(the second list includes the separator).
 
it should also work with floats and symbols and floats mixed.
 
any cheap solution? thanks for help.
