[PD] pulseaudio backend

Hi list,
So let's say I want to build a pulse audio backend for Pd (i.e., an s_audio_pulse.c).

I assume I have to use this API:
http://freedesktop.org/software/pulseaudio/doxygen/async.html

Can I use the s_audio_jack.c as a guide for this?  Or would that be completely different?
