for those of you who - like me - use thunderbird and wonder, why all
emails now have something generic like "pd-list" displayed as the
sender instead of a proper name (like "Foo Bar via Pd-list"), there is
help:

the default behaviour of thunderbird is to use the name stored in the
address-book to display, regardless of what the email says.
this can be turned off on a per-address basis:

- - open your address book
- - search for the pd-list entry and open it
- - untick the "Always prefer display name over message header." option
- - save and enjoy

other mail-clients might have similar settings (but i don't know them)

sorry for such an off-topic post, but i felt this was needed to keep
the mailing list usable.

PS: thanks yahoo for this...
