it means that Pd is running with realtime priviliges and has frozen.
the watchdog periodically sends "ping" messages to Pd, and Pd replies to
those messages to tell the watchdog that it is still alive.
if there is no reply (presumbly because Pd is very busy), the watchdog
will send it a HUP signal (and print the message you are seeing).

this is mainly to prevent Pd from locking down your entire system when
running with high priviliges.
