I can't say much without playing with one, but I get the impression from
comments that the USB ports at least aren't as finicky about power. Right
now I just use a Powered USB hub to power my Pi Model B, Behringer UCG102,
and a QuNeo controller. Maybe the B+ could work without the hub?

Those extra GPIO pins could definitely come in handy, too - if you are
connecting some buttons or pots, you shouldn't need to add an Arduino.

I'm still curious about the real-world performance of the Pi relative to
the UDOO, Cubie, or similar boards - I've got decent performance with my Pi
at about 10ms latency with a couple of effects running. If I push it too
much, sure, I get xruns, but it's not like I can get insanely better
performance with my laptop (which has an i5).
