[PD] high channel count audio output on the cheap?

You can probably find some m-audio Delta series soundcards for cheap, and
combine several of them.
I've used delta 44, and 1010LT, worked excellent on Linux.
I also had good experience with some EchoAudio interfaces (Echo Layla 3G
and Echo Layla 24).
