[PD] pack/unpack pointer data

Hi, 
any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you - my data input is a webcam feed, I am trying to use this feed to create rotational / translational movement. I assumed unpacking the pointer data as a float to control the parameters would work best, corrections welcomed
