AFAIK the open usb dmx can be controlled by [comport] by sending a break
followed by the dmx data at the correct baud rate. I recently added a break
method to [comport] in svn. You probably need the driver to be able to set
the baud rate to 250000. Unfortunately the svn repository at sourceforge is
still down but I can post the code if you need it. The patch I posted is
designed for the dmx usb pro, which uses its own microcontroller to manage
the dmx interface. The open usb dmx is just a USB serial port with a dmx
(IEE485) physical interface (as I understand it; I have never seen one in
real life and the documentation for it is almost nonexistent).
