[PD] [comport] crashes system (Ubuntu 11.10) when USB from Arduino gets disconnected by mistake

To my knowledge (and others already suggested it) this has been fixed in
[comport]. It works for me on Ubuntu 14.04 and Debian 7, i.e. Pd does
not crash when I unplug the USB cable of the Arduino board. Tested with
old Aduino NG (uses an FTDI chip) and current comport from svn / git. 

Maybe your version of Pd-extended comes with an older [comport]? If I'm
not mistaken, it got fixed in 2012.
