[PD] OSX: selecting portaudio crashes

I've been getting a strange error of late, which is very possibly
caused by my uprade to OSX 10.11 El Capitan.

Choosing "Portaudio" under the "Media" menu immediate crashes PD. I
get this error in the console:

10/12/2015 11:42:47.000 kernel[0]: pd: guarded fd exception: fd 1 code
0x2 guard 0x98d76ef8

Has anyone encountered this? Any fixes?
