i hope you are aware that the tcl-prompt has vanished with Pd-0.47, so
you cannot really send anything there anymore.

otoh, you don't need a tclprompt to send tcl-commands to the Pd-GUI and
have it interpreted. just send them directly, in C via the "sys_vgui()"
function.
on the patch-level, you could use hans' [sys_gui] object (in the "hcs"
collection of objects) to acchieve that.
