[PD] help compiling vanilla on mac

howdy, would a dear friend guide me though all steps in compiling vanilla
on a mac. I need a good soul who can walk me through all the walls I hit.

And I hit a wall with the first thing I did... I tried ./autogen.sh
and got ./autogen.sh:
line 22: autoreconf: command not found

then I tried to see how to use makefile.mac and just couldn't do it
