[PD] Pd Metrics on Xubuntu 16 04 02 LTS

I thought it was a Joke.

Do we put the modifided “pd-gui.tcl” along with the patch t-metrics?

The tcl only works with 0.47.1 & covers the first 8 10 12 font sizes.

Is that the idea?

I went ahead and created a wiki page: https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/wiki/Crossplatform-font-metrics-&-comparisons
Crossplatform font metrics & comparisons · pure-data/pure-data Wiki · GitHub<https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/wiki/Crossplatform-font-metrics-&-comparisons>
github.com
pure-data - Pure Data - tracking Miller's SourceForge git repository (also used by libpd)

You can post pictures there and write in Markdown. It should be publicly editable.

A third option would be a Github wiki page on the pure-data repository, assuming everyone has a GH account.

This is a good idea, I would suggest using a public google doc or pirate pad and we can add the link to the top of the issue. Please *do not* flood the
Github discussion with constant posts. If/when a doc is created, send me the link so we can all stay on the same (virtual) page.

how about collecting the metrics information on some webpage (e.g. a
github ticket [1]).
i'm pretty sure that most of us have been lost in the recent mail storm :-)

[1] e.g. the recent [WIP] pull-request by Dan might be a start:
  https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/pull/42

or even better: create a new issue with the sole purpose of collecting
metrics.
