[PD] external terminology

As I see, there are 2 types of compiled externals, but I'm not sure how to
call them:


1) “single binaries”? (is that how we actually call it?)

2) “libraries” (but isn’t library and pack collection? Even abstraction
collections like list-abs? So how do we call this to differentiate in
terminology? “Monolithic” distribution?
