[PD] gpu blob detection (shader)

Hello,
Is there a way to have a gpu version of pix_multiblob?
or better to use pix_snap and do the tracking on the cpu?
I'm starting with shaders, saw some discussions and codes on the web (not
related to pd) and it seems quiet complex to achieve... so any hint will be
appreciated.
