Hey all

The Mac app not only looks very good now, it looks pretty similar to
the Linux version. Dan, Miller: your work is much appreciated! I think
your improvements in the preference dialogs and the help browser are
valuable.

There is something bugging with very recent versions of the Mac App.
The same happened on the Mac (probably due to switch of Tk version) as
has happened before on Linux: The box size for font-size 10 suddenly
increased. This breaks some patches, namely those that fit a symbolatom
into a GOP area in that the symbolatom disappears on the parent because
it is overlapping the GOP area.

Changing the font metric for font size 10 from:

 7 13

to:

  7 12

would fix the issue, so that patches created on Pd-0.47 and earlier on
Mac and Linux still look the same in Pd-0.48. However, 7 12 looks
pretty bad on Windows (box size becomes too small).

"7 13" on Windows gives same boxsize as "7 12" on Mac and Linux.

This assuming the font "DejaVu Sans Mono" is not installed. If "DejaVu
Sans Mono" is installed on Windows, the resulting box size for font-
size=10 is far larger, even with "7 12".

TLDR:

This would keep box sizes of Pd <= 0.47:
"7 12" on Linux and Mac
"7 13" on Windows

If this can't be adjusted, it would be good to know if the _new_ box
sizes will be the canonical sizes.
