What's wrong with Deken?

I understand you can trust Debian to have a responsible maintainer for
each of their packages and I understand it benefits the Debian-based
distribution users the most if any efforts in bug reporting and fixing
goes to those packages. Nevertheless, in Deken you immediately see who
has uploaded a certain package and you can contact the uploader in a
similar manner. I don't see why you are implying that a Deken package
is likely to be less well maintained. After all, in Deken a bugfix can
be made available immediately and user don't have to wait up to two
years. Also, an improvement might be made available for many platforms
at the same time, not only for a subset of one.
