*The Spatial Music Workshop** and*

*Cube Fest 2018*

*at the Moss Arts Center, Virginia Tech*


The fourth Spatial Music Workshop will take place at the Moss Arts Center
at Virginia Tech from August 5 – 9, 2018. The workshop will consist of
sessions on spatialization techniques, software systems for spatialization,
discussions of current research in spatialization, and listening to
electronic music composed for high-density loudspeaker arrays (HDLAs). More

Important Dates for the Spatial Music Workshop:



     Application Deadline: December 15, 2017.

     Notification of Results: January 15, 2018.

     Confirmation of Participation: February 15, 2018.

*Cube Fest 2018* will take place at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech
from August 10 - 12, 2018. Cube Fest features one of the largest
multichannel audio systems on the planet, the Cube. We invite composers,
musicians, and sound artists to submit works for arrays of 24 or more
loudspeakers, for presentation at CUBE Fest 2018. Installations, fixed
media works, and performances are all welcome. Selected works will be
presented in either the Cube on its 138 speaker array, or the Perform
studio, which houses a 24.4 speaker Genelec system.



Important Dates for Cube Fest:


     Deadline for all submissions is January 30, 2018.
     Notification of selections by February 28, 2018.
     Confirmation of participation, March 15, 2018.
