At least we can confirm it's a system language issue, although I'm thinking it's more of a bug in Tk. Which version of TK does it display when you put the log to all?

I'm wondering if it's also related to setting the available languages in the app bundle. I'll see if I can look into it as it's pretty annoying. I ran into the same problem with earlier buggy versions of Tk < 8.5.13.
